Surface Duo April 2021 update is now live
Microsoft is rolling out new firmware updates to Surface Duo devices to addresses scenarios outlined in the Android Security Bulletin - April 2021, improves device stability and UI stability, improves device performance when opening and closing apps, accessing your recent apps, or swiping up to see all your apps, fixes the scenario where the wallpaper was not appearing after unlocking Surface Duo, and fixes the scenario where a notification badge appears on top of a running app and causes the screen to turn black.

Surface Duo recieves new (March 25, 2021) firmware updates
Microsoft is now rolling out the March 2021 update to Surface Duo devices to addresses scenarios outlined in the Android Security Bulletin - March 2021, improves device stability, improves device performance, improves Surface Duo UI stability, improves incoming ring experience with communication apps, fixes the experience when dismissing apps in single screen mode, which had a delay before showing the home screen, taking screenshots in single screen mode will now capture the active screen instead of both, increases time that the “Double-tap to switch screens” is available to change screens, fixes the ability to unlock the device using the fingerprint reader when an app is running above the lock screen, and apps that only support portrait orientation can now rotate clockwise when spanning across both screens.
