Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Laptop 7. The latest update is available for Surface Laptop (7th Edition) running Windows 11, Version 24H2 or later.
The new firmware update resolves an issue because of which the Wake On LAN (WOL) feature does not function correctly when using Surface Dock 2 or Surface Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock via USB-C while the device is in the Hibernate or Shutdown state, addresses an issue where the Network BitLocker unlock feature fails when using a Surface Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock during a cold boot, fixes the issue causing occasional screen flickering/flashing, and more. The update is listed as a “December 12 release” on the Surface Laptop 7 Update History page.
