Surface Pro 5 December 2017 update is now live

Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Pro 5. The following updates are available for all Surface Pro (5th Gen) with LTE Advanced devices:

The new firmware update will improve system stability. The update is listed as a “December 6 release” on the Surface Pro 5 Update History page.

Getting the Updates via Windows Update

You can get this new Firmware Update via Windows Updates, as we detailed here:

• On Windows 11, go to Start > Settings (Win + I) > Windows Update and click the "Check for updates" button.
• On Windows 10, go to Start > Settings > Update & security and click the "Check for updates" button.

If your Surface Pro 5 didn't receive the update, it should appear on the Windows Update list by now.
