Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for Surface Pro 3. The latest update is delivered to Surface Pro 3 devices on Windows 10 Creators Update, build 1703 or later:
The new firmware update resolves potential security vulnerabilities, including Microsoft Security Advisory 180012 and 180013. The update is listed as an “August 7 release” on the Surface Pro 3 Update History page.

Getting the Updates via Windows Update
You can get this new Firmware Update via Windows Updates, as we detailed here:
On Windows 11, go to Start > Settings (Win + I) > Windows Update and click the "Check for updates" button.
On Windows 10, go to Start > Settings > Update & security and click the "Check for updates" button.
If your Surface Pro 3 didn't receive the update, it should appear on the Windows Update list by now.
